Our first own song ‘You Came to Me in November’ was released in March 2025. The song is about Annie’s first visit in the archipelago many years ago. The somewhat dramatic bridge section was written by Tim a few years later, when we were sailing in the British Virgin Islands. The story is about a breaking wave that knocked Annie over and caused her to spin and hit her face on the ocean floor. Fortunately she survived. Annie is still sailing and singing in our band.

‘Thank You for the Chords’ was released in April, and is written by Tim expressing his gratitude to Janne for teaching him how to play the guitar and encouraging him to form a band and become a songwriter.

The next tune ’Sailing to a Distant Shore’ dedicated to all sailors was released in May. Our fourth single ’Life on a Skerry’ - an ode to our home island in the Archipelago Sea, was released just before midsummer.

Our 5th single ’Mothers, Daughters & Sons’ was released on 31st July. It’s a special song dedicated to Tim’s daughter Catarina and all courageous mothers ❤️ Catarina’s and Micka’s twin sons were born in July 🩵🩵

Our 6th single 'Swallow Your Pride' was released on 20th August. The song is written by Janne & Tessa K and features Ronja’s angelic voice on lead vocals. The country guitar intro was played by our mixer Nalle Ahlstedt.

Chasing a Dream is the latest song and 7th single by DoubleTrouble Family Band this year. We started composing the song back in June, when Tim wrote the chords for the main them and Janne crafted the progressive bridge section, sprinkling in a few delightful surprises. On Midsummer's Day, the thunderous drum track was expertly laid down by the talented Veikka Kajamies, culminating in the song's final touches at Musikinstitut Arkipelag in September. Janne's emotive vocals, coupled with John's mesmerizing guitar riffs, bring this composition to life.

This musical piece narrates a transformative voyage from darkness to light, resonating on a deeply personal level while striking a chord with audiences universally. In a world facing challenges, the song encapsulates the essence of enduring hope amidst turbulent times. As a lyricist, it has been a fulfilling experience to pen down this ode to resilience and finding solace in the midst of adversity, guided by the inspiration of my muse. Gratitude fills my heart for the opportunity to share this journey towards realizing my aspirations.

18th October, written by Tim.
