Plantui, the leading company for indoor gardens, has signed a Distributor Sales Agreement with DKSH Japan, a 150-year-old trading house based in Tokyo. DKSH Japan evaluated the category and found Plantui to be the best device for hydroponic indoor gardening.

We have signed new distributor and retail agreements in line with our ’Go to Market’ strategy with focus on big cities in Germany, Holland and Scandinavia, as well as France, Singapore, South Korea and Switzerland, says CEO Kari Vuorinen.

A SUCCESSFUL SHARE ISSUE ENABLES GROWTH

Plantui closed its most recent share issue on August 14. Both existing shareholders and new private investors subscribed new shares amounting to 760K€ in new share capital and helping the startup to reach 45 private shareholders. In the course of this year Plantui has secured 1.66 million euros in new share capital to boost its international growth.

The funds raised through the share issue are mainly used to finance the company’s internationalization (expanding into new market areas in Asia and EU, sales, marketing, and licensing).

In addition, funds will be used to widen the product portfolio, including the Moomin Garden product family, as well as improving the customer experience by developing the plant information service (growth timelines) and the Plantui.com online shop.
